Hi, I’m Matt Brown.

Before I founded ‘Industry Only, POS Solutions’, I dabbled in a lot of odd jobs & career paths, but I was always drawn back to the hospitality industry in one way or another. Whether it was starting a mobile bar business with a friend, picking up shifts behind the sticks, or selling POS systems, I was always led back to home.

In my most recent venture, I was introduced to the merchant services world, or as I like to call it, “The wild wild west”. I quickly learned that the market was not only incredibly competitive, but it was also incredibly saturated with part-time reps that knew little to nothing about the PEOPLE they were selling to. They were selling POS and merchant services to anyone and everyone who would buy…even if it wasn’t the right fit.

Because of this, I decided to take a different approach, which is to partner with ONLY bars and restaurants, hence “The industry is all I do, because the industry is all I know.” I spent 18 years of my life in hospitality, operating both the front end and back end of almost every major POS brand out there. Hospitality flows through my veins. Why would I even THINK about going out there and pitching an industry that I know absolutely nothing about. Short answer; I wouldn’t.

One of my clients recently said to me, “Matt, you really suck at sales.” We both laughed, and I said, “I, know”. I take a lot of pride in not being super salesy. I don’t like to be pushy, aggressive or relentless in trying to earn your business. I simply learn what I need to know about you and your business, and then I do my best to present you with a solid solution.
